Recording and Good times

It's been a long time since I posted a blog, but I figured it would be nice to try it again. you can see more regular ramblings about Chiropractic at www.hahnfamilychiropractic.com under the Dr. Eric's blog button. but basicly I'd like to say I'm very excited to have sat down and recorded a few tracks two weeks ago and really really thankful for the talant and time that Luke proffered to the band in helping us capture the sound at that session and another one this upcoming weekend. He has been the source of our front of house sound for about 8 months now and since having him help us we can't get enough of the amazing tone that comes out of those speakers. he is truely an artist. So Luke this post is for you and a Testimonial to your skills and a recomendation to anyone I know to hire you to make them sound "almost" as good as us.. (grin)

New Media Added!

Hello all,
We have added some new sample tracks under our media link.
Hope you enjoy them.
The Ghosts!

Thank Ye All

Thanks to all ye Ravens and lovers of the precious auld schtuff.  For supporting The Traditions and The Art.    And us.
It would be a lot easier to open a Clancy Brother song book and strum a few formula chords or buy The Best of Irish Drinking Songs CD, surely - than trying to pipe some Irish Traveller's style of jig - or pull off the reel of a great Armagh fiddler, like Brendan McGlinchey.  A person can learn Whisky in the Jar in 10 minutes, but to sing a sean nOs air like Aisling Ghael in it's regional dialect -takes most people years even with a teacher. And maybe today - here and now - it doesn't make a difference to most.
But it's worth the good try; the passion of digging deep to get at the source of the spring - and share that cool drink with friends.
This ain't old dead stuff. People made babies to this music! It moved mighty then, and with heart, it does the very same today. And it wasn't, and it doesn't, have to be all Danny Boy. Not by a long shot.
We play it , we sing and dance it and try to give it the same primal energy it had after a harvest, by the hearth or in the open night.
Thanks and good on ye All for the support,
Jer Ghost  ;-)

A Happy Haunting With The Ghosties

As the entertainment coordinator for an organization that puts on an annual festival, I was looking for entertainment for our event. We had been using metal bands, but I got tired of the complaints from attendees. So I went in search of a traditional Celtic group to calm the peasants and hopefully provide them with some good entertainment. Well not knowing any groups myself, I decided to go to an expert. So I went to the local Celtic establishment for the consumption of fine brew, food, and entertainment and told the proprietor of my need. She hesitated not one whit in recommending to me “The Ghosts Of Erin”, and directed me to speak to a chap named Jerry. I meet this fine fellow, and with a clap on the back he put a pint in my hand and asked me how the “Ghosts” could help me. After hearing their “Halloween” CD, I knew they were exactly what I was looking for. Long story short, they played at our festival to the great enjoyment of the crowd of over a thousand who attended, as well as the staff and all the vendors, and hopefully will be a fixture at our event ever year to come. So for great traditional Irish music, without having to go to Ireland, look no further then the personages of Chad, Eric, Heather, and Jerry, “The Ghosts Of Erin” and experience the joy of being haunted by their music.  Playing soon at the Tir Na Nog near you.

Hahn Family Chiropractic Adjusts STOMP!!!

Last Week Dr. Eric was called upon to adjust the cast of the traveling Broadway show STOMP!!. Got to meet the cast, got another autographed poster for the office and helped change some lives. I got to adjust one of the cast members for their first Chiropractic experience and was able to help out another that spasmed their back the night before. Chiropractic rocks, and helps everyone perform better.... things fell through with recording some stuff for the pipers club website, but maybe next time. I'll see about posting a photo as soon as I can.

The Ghosts Rawk!

It's pronounced "rawk", the way the bird in the logo would say it.

If you haven't seen the Ghosts yet, don't miss their next gig!
